VIVA LA HOWA
Talking about replacement triggers - there are quite a lot available in the US for 'bout 1/2 the price - even with postage...Any one have any experience in getting those in - as well as all the other bits to build up a 10/22. Very nice rifle to start off with by the way. I got the 50th anniversary - wooden stock - very nice. Stiff trigger though, compared to my JW15 Norinco.
One thing I would recommend checking out when buying a 10/22 is confirming the barrel matches up to the receiver properly, had one that once a scope was mounted the scope was damn near out of adjustment both on elevation and windage, I couldn't live with it and a bit of investigation based on a hunch that it just didn't look right, confirmed that the barrel didn't match up flush with the reciever
and i thought only the chinese did that
Geez I wouldn't hunt deer with a 22lr even tho I have a rf capable of the kind of accuracy required I know some people do in my opinion pretty borderline for consistent humane kills
Wws all I had at the time and wasnt looking for a deer.
Stock 10/22 probably will fire thousands of rounds without much servicing, but you probably would not have as much fun. My 10/22s have much tighter barrels, I need to run boresnake through it after every 100 rounds or so, or it will start to misfire because too much wax is making the bullet not fully pushed into the chamber.
