    My scope arrived Saturday. No issues at all. If you wish to apply for an export permit just make sure you do it well in advance. The Aussies were very good to deal with, even rang me one evening to confirm a question.
    FWIW the wife flew back with if and was not asked or checked.

    Hi All,

    What about taking scopes the other way (NZ to Aus)?

    Looks like we need to get an export permit.

    Is a permit required on the Australian side?

    No permit required for incoming optics to Aust.
