Thread: Can somebody tell me what this is?

From the photo, (and it is hard to tell) as much as can be seen of the forend looks as though it is shaped and polished to fit against the barrel with upwards pressure. The wood around the swivel screw looks lower with a rough finish. If you cant slip a sheet of paper between the forend and barrel there may still be upwards pressure. If that's the case then I'm with Bill999 and it has to go. Free floated with the first 5cm of the chamber/ barrel bedded is the way to go.
