last round bolt hold open toby
yea short but not light. a-cat botch stock ruins it for me tho, not many options to fix that about
standard stock with a 12-14 inch barrel permanently fitted with a supp and im interested
Sorry what's that about the stock. I don't get it
yea bye bye ergonomics
the standard one is "military pattern" so find a suitable replacement that is slightly different in shape, or do something real badass like go carbonfibre
the first option there will be rather differcult me thinks
It's not FreeStanding though, so should get around it entirely!
They have a pretty rough trigger.
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
Can't be worse than a factory AR trigger
Also aftermarket parts are now available since MSAR etc started producing AUG clones in the US
that could be argued, the front just bieng an enlarged trigger gaurd. subjective.
this was from someone who was recently trying to convince me a pump action shot gun was a mssa due to round capacity and a pistolgrip.
after spelling out what MSSA stands for I finally made some ground but didnt convince him.
so same answer as allways with nz firearms law, there is no clear cut answer. just a retard on the spot subjective observation and personal decision
i did look into this but got the usual bullshit stone wall answer at your peril ect......
i still dont think they are worth what they are asking,
this is the level of understanding that the police are handing down to the mountain safety officers.
the "check your thumbhole" poster is still in pride of place in our local police station
Man they are gonna be sorry they ever made me a mountain safety officer
time to shake this fucken cage
He wasn't from Tauranga was he? I had the same thing from a Mountain safety guy at the TECT rifle range at Tauranga, telling everyone he could that they were going to include pump action shotguns in the MSSA reclassification and how all guns should be registered like Australia. He had no idea what we was talking about but I could see a lot of people who didn't know better were listening to him.
triggers are the least of the issue, springs and stones fix them on the cheep.
if you buy into the bullshit that you remove the case hardening and eventually the soft metal will wear then you would have got your moneys worth anyway
Trigger packs are all polymer with the exception of the springs and two pins. Trigger pull on my AUG-Z is around 10lbs. Some of the creep can be taken out by adjusting the preload on the trigger bars. A good coating of powdered graphite to the trigger pack smooths things up. Not too bad when you get used to it.
It's the connecting rod between the trigger and the trigger mechanism that makes the pull spongy. Replace the piece of fencing wire with carbon fibre and that should fix it
