If you poke around enough you could find an older shortened 308 with older style suppresser for the cost of shortening and suppressing your .270

I don't know the age or make of your 270 but I don't think you will be able to sell it and have enough to fund a 308/7mm08 shortened with a suppressor without extra cash.
Budget $400-500 for a new suppressor and to cut and thread your 270. You could ask on here or search TM for a 2nd hand one, make sure you get a magnum one for a 270.
You will also need to reload the 270 to get the best out of a short barrel so factor that in as well, however the Duley's did say that they had quite good performance from some Federal factory loads. Bear in mind they are sponsored by them so will be using the premium ammo. He also said that 20" was the best length to shorten too.
Their loads are in the October/November mag.
BC doesn't matter, until you need to dial
Used a 17" Browning BAR in 270 suppressed with 110 and 130gr Barnes for many years, would still be my go to rifle if it hadn't been designated to the scrap bin.
A 20" barreled 270 is plenty short enough, I think it just pays to find a shorter suppressor not a 6" forward one
following the comment on short suppressors,
Something like a Hardy compact (rated up to 270/3006) is only 80mm forward. But that $530 plus fitting.
