    The 88 looks to be a reasonable bit shorter, is it safe to assume I won't need a butt pad/spacer?

    The HT77 looks like it'd be too long being same length as HT66.

    Yes about an inch shorter. Spacer shouldn’t be needed

    well almost a year later on this thread but just incase someone wants another opinion...
    i have used a fair amount of nightvision clip ons..
    ht-66 and the ht-88... and with those 2 clip ons the ht-88 is far superior with clarity... and have seen clearly out to 350y with the 88 but i also have a coyote canon ir torch... i also had the arken zulus scope which is even more superior with clarity... and its a day/night scope but tbh i still prefer to use a clip on because in day i prefer a classic scope over a digital...
    now also the new pard n007 sp has come out and will try that to see how it compares to my ht-88 as from the box numbers it just seems bettwr
