Thread: COAL of Hornady eldx ammo

Hi, I'm just wondering if someone has the COAL of the Hornady eldx 162gr for the 7mmRM, I'm having trouble with my reloads but tried some of the above which worked fine but I never checked the length before I fired them.

thought you might remember your super duper load dope and be somewhere in ballpark to help this fella out.......yeah buying factory ammunition is surely expensive,much better to avoid it altogether.

Buy some more and don't let the gubbenment find out you are using coal. (-:

My rem mag load was 20thou off jam and 2935fps from memory, but every rifles jam point and mag length will be different.

Not sure of factory OAL but I load the 162 gr eldx in my mod 695 Tikka which has a T 3 barrel on it at 86 mm they shoot pretty good.

3.290 going off the Hornady reloading book. Guessing that’s what they load factory ammo to. Normally very short to fit in magazines.
