    Keep an eye out for a Remington LVSS.
    I can't recall seeing one since I sold mine.

    I had one in the early 90's in .223
    One of the most unfussy and accurate 223s I have had.

    Iirc the action was a true mini 700 type and would make a good build.

    All these fancy custom actions are just Rem copies anyway.

    I also had one for a short time. Great wee rifle it would have been better if it stoped feed two rounds at a time.

    that weight can't be accurate, my .260 Finnlight weighs 2.6kg and it's got an 800gm plastic stock & a M action

    It’s a bit on the high side but it does have a tiny hole!

    Long time since I had one but iirc I had the odd double feed as well but it was due in my case, to slowly cycling the action.

    In fact it's even easier now, just buy a Tikka Super light and fit a carbon stock job job with no maching required.
