    Who knows for sure bluebaiter222 . I heard it was brought to Aust by Mick Smith (Sydney Gunshop operator) for his own/sons use.

    It's amazing where guns turn up though.

    They (JC Higgins) were made for Sears mail order catalogue in the US. if you google JC Higgins you will see it was Sears brand and many of the larger Gun Co's supplied rifles, shotguns etc under their house brand.
