That brings up the good question as to what your after?

A correct replica for a collector(aprox $2800 "new") or a suppressed .45apc bolt gun?($500-$2000) as I have seen some very nice modern takes on the idea

I know a guy who builds them from time to time. But, buy the time you supply a 303 action, 45 cal barrel blank, a 1911 magazine and pay for the build, its quite expensive.
How much do you want to spend?

Its not unusual for there to be 1 in auction in Wellington.

Like the guys have said , to get a accurate repro , it will cost you a fair bit , not so much for a less accurate copy , most I have seen are not very well done , unless you MUST have a exact copy , I would look at a more modern option , ie the Ruger bolt action rifle in either 357 or 44 , and while both feed & eject well , the barrels ae not ideal to run heavy bullets , if you want to run say 250gr in the 357 or 300gr in the 44 , then most will reccomend a faster twist barrel than what Ruger put on these little bolt actions .

Also the Delisle is really a iron sight only rifle if you want to keep its original lines .

For the money you would spend on a Delisle build , I would put in a Ruger 357 , use a faster twist custom barrel , run 250gr bullets out of 38spl cases , and have a custom locking can made for it , scope it & maybe a folding stock as well .

If you wait you should be able to find .45apc built on a Enfeild for under a grand-it may be a back yard job so probably would want to test fire/cycle before handing over cash.

I recommend sending ruger a pm
