Dealer to dealer in person with no 43A ?

So here is an interesting question.

If I'm in Auckland and buy more rifles than I can fit into my locked case booked on to my return flight.
Can I go in person to an Auckland gun shop in the Dealer to Dealer system and send it to Gunworks through the D2D network ?
Then pick up in person next time I'm in CHCH

It will be a firearm in my ownership and legally held and would have been entered into my FSA registration

I'm not looking for a way around the 43A process
It's just if I buy more than I can easily carry in my pre booked excess baggage this would be an easy and possibly cost effective option

You should be ok - you have not purchased the firearm by mail order so the 43A form isnt needed.

I see no reason why not, if your receiving dealer sights your license before handing over to you.

IF you are sending to yourself then it should not be a problem. S43 is only for a mail order transaction.

I just need to check that with the dealer at each end now during the working week

When will the rifle be available to ship in Auckland? Be there in 2 weeks, then coming South in Sept.
I know a lot but it seems less every day...

I'm going to Auckland some time in the next month.
Have 4 guns to take up that I'm swapping or selling in deals already sorted.
But since those were sorted a few more potential purchases have entered the picture.

So the D2D without 43A is just a back up option if I find myself with a few extra rifles too bring back to the Mainland where they belong

It's sort of up to the dealers. I know we don't really like when it happens from another outfit to GC and vice versa. H&F is the same. If we're sending them a rifle then they require MoF done. Between the same outfit it's ok. Best to ask Gunworks.

I'll flick you a PM as I might be able to help here.
