Thread: Desirable features of an all round NZ hunting rifle

What are some of the desirable features people look for in an all round NZ hunting rifle?

My preferences are:
- Stainless barrel and action - Less chance of rusting when not cleaned on multi-day trips
- Decent quality synthetic stock - Doesn't warp or rot like wood
- Hinged floor plate internal magazine - Impossible to lose
- 60~70 degree bolt lift - Can use lower rings and still clear of scope
- Between 2.6~3.3kg bare rifle depending on caliber - Easy to carry yet comfortable to shoot.
