@buzzman you're natural point of aim must be phenomenal for such feats.

Tikka t3 18" Hardy can,SHV 4x14.Loaded with 150gr eldx and a dash of 2208(possibly @buzzman 's recipe?).Haves dropped deer at 350m and rang steel at 700m.My 10yr old son has happily shot it on steel out to 300m with no complaints.

I've been using a 7/08 for 10-15 years now. If I do my part, everything seems to fall over from 0-500 yards pretty well.

Very similar setup to yours. Very nice to use but a bit heavy now.
I have a smaller rifle with a VX3 4.5-14 CDS in mRad on it, so I like the scope although it does compromise on some aspects.
Used the 7mm 08 on a tahr block recently and succeeded with my longest shots ever (wont say what - don't want to encourage others beyond their self-established distances).
It's also very good on the short shots and beautiful to carry in the bush without its suppressor.

There’s a few Sika starting to enjoy the sunny feed faces now that winter is closing, perfect job for the 7mm08

The 7mm08 is still proving itself as a dual purpose machine, anyone just started using one or picked up another after having a break ?

Bit cold for a northern fulla that’s for sure, pig rooting grows icicles like mushrooms, hard to say no when deer hunting offers are a once a decade thing these days
