Thread: Do we need permit for import rifle stock from CA or OZ?

Hi, I am planing buy ESS chassis and magzine (5 rounds) for my Tikka long action from MDT, do I need import permit for them? also have my eyes on KRG Bravo for my Rem 700 SA @ Delta Tactical in OZ. Thanks in advance.

I have imported a bit from MDT in the past and never required an import permit. However that was pre Chch, it would pay to check with your AO to avoid any issues.

I think you will need an import permit for all parts now.
That is if they will issue one at the moment.
They are still sitting on the mail order forms for stuff sold within NZ, importing permits may be further down the list

Did you order direct of MDT? I'm after a LSS for a Tikka
308 but don't want to pay that $250usd export

Yes, I ordered direct from MDT via their website and had it sent to NZ with Canada Post
