Just add to my previous comment. Spoke to my mate how was watching the same face about 100m away to my right, he said it sounded just like a suppressed rifle. My take is if they are a bit louder with the brake it is not a significant difference.
I have done a fair bit of testing with Braked end caps on my recoil sled.
They are very effective at reducing recoil and keeping you on target after the shot etc. Around 50% reduction on a magnum and 30-40% on standard calibres. (4" forward cans generally achieve around 10-14% reduction. 6" forward can achieve 20-25% reduction.
They do however make the sound travel to the shooters ear more and for me the sweet spot is using them on a decent 6" forward suppressor for the best of both worlds. No ringing ears in close bush etc and great recoil reduction. For the DPT cans, personally I'd run at least 6 baffles and then the brake end cap
The above is my testing of the Atec suppressors and their end caps
I've just finished testing 12 different supressors with normal end caps. The video should be ready by weekend.
