I noticed a big difference in sound when I replaced the first baffle in my DPT with a S.S one and added a neoprene suppressor cover.

First baffle or the baffle immediately over the muzzle? We are experimenting with 2 SS baffles on the 223 MK 1 can which my son says is quieter than only 1 SS. Once we have sorted that out due to get 2 new MK 2 cans on a WSSM and 243. My son has a mate who is running 3 SS on a chopped 308 which he says is wickedly quiet.
The first baffle past the threaded section i.e as a blast baffle.

I really cant work this out...Ive had a mk1 with 4 baffles ,over barrel, on my poohseventy for 3 years and find it fine...tried it today on mates 25/06 and its rather tame indeed... we might add a S/S baffle to make it last longer but its quiet enough as it is....it compares well with either of the gunworks spartans I run...
I like my Dpt's my 300blk has 12 baffles on it for subsonic goodness
I rob my other suppressors as needed for baffles
Then swap them back for supersonic use
