I'm still uneasy with calling a carbine after something you fuck up against a dumpster behind the pub.

What a very sexist and insulting remark, if I was new age I would be offended on behalf of others but I am instead reminded of the words of an aquainence of my youth who rated girls as 0,1,or 2
0 no paper bag required not suprisingly he scored very few of these.
1, one paper bag needed or 2 a paper bag each.
As a gentleman should he always supplied the bag.

You sound like a sensitive wee girl clearly irritated about the tree stand thing... the point if you were capable of getting it is that actively hunting with vinyl ear cups on is unpleasant... thats an objective truth whether you understand it or not. Whether you choose a level of discomfort or not is irrelevant to me, just don't bother telling me it doesn't exist.

My original comment was about shooting more often as you become a better hunter. Nothing to do with becoming a better shooter like you go on about. Shooting skill was assumed as a constant and wasn't at issue. Better hunters usually shoot more animals. Better hunter = more shots generally because being a better hunter generates more opportunities - simple maths. The fact that you choose to shoot less being a better hunter is irrelevant, it was a general comment and reflects a normal and average sort of reality. You come along obfuscating and completely missing the point. Try a little harder to follow along.

The next one is a cracker.. you even took the time to paste my actual words.... when I said that I never said that "ALL of the lost speed would be made up" that is entirely true. Last time I checked "most" and "optimised" do not qualify as "ALL"... but hey you can't even follow along with the general ideas expressed like noise reduction and more shots fired as you get to be a better hunter.

Given your general comprehensive difficulties, why would I take your analysis of more complex issues seriously? Anytime you can come up with some sort of relevant actual experiment I would be interested in seeing those results.... but I haven't seen any yet.

Seriously whats your problem mate? I couldn't give a toss whether you turn out to be right about the quicker powder/shorter barrel issue... its a side issue to the utility of suppressors. Losing 100fps with the same load in a 4 inch chop is inconsequential.
Ha ha welcome to Sydneys world.
Maybe take a breath or a step back or something. Have a think from a more detached point maybe? because you have completely misunderstood here. Your tree stand comment made me smile. It made me think of the Stuart is trip, anyone that has sat in a tree and watched whitetail would I'm sure smile at the memory. So I recounted the story, its real , I saw 2 deer but didn't shoot. Of course Iv embellished the reason for not shooting but that's just a piss take for the benefit of the bushpig crowd, a little humor. Same tone as my first post in this thread, using the word ugly three times in one sentence should be enough to indicate its a bit of fun. So I have no idea how you read that as me being irritated. Im not at all ,I rarely get heated and just dont get emotional over a trivial internet thread
I don't doubt you when you say you find elec muffs unpleasant, I take you at your word. It would be nice if you extended me the same courtesy. We have been using them for a few years now and find them very good, We can have them on for 2-3 hrs at a time twice a day and longer into the night chasing wallabies. I find them comfortable to the point I can forget Im wearing them. Same in the bush and I find the enhanced sound a positive. Some people find muffs a pain some dont but dont try and tell me what I feel when I put them on because my opinion relates to me and comes from some years of use.
So think a little about noise reduction, ignore the fact that I twice posted agreeing that supresssors will reduce noise and help reduce hearing loss, apply a little logic, do you really believe that I dont understand suppressors ? that being on a hunting shooting forum that I might even have a few or 6? that maybe you just misunderstood? Maybe?

Yes I posted a reminder of you claims. When I corrected you on the burn rate I fully expected to follow up with a discussion but your reply was belligerent and dismissive and not even a hint of inquiry , actually you used the term bullocks, which is either a typo or you've accidentally invented a new term Bulls-bollocks meaning maybe a bigger load of bollcks than normal? I like it actually, I might use it. But your reply gave me a strong indication any following discussion would be pointless. The discussion we've had since and your vitriol above has left me very comfortable with that decision.

As to what is my problem? well My wife would probably say "how much time do I have" and start with my constant piss taking among other things. Im sure you can come up with a few of your own.
So carry on with whatever you believe my earmuff comfort levels are, my levels of comprehension are and what ever ideas you think I cant follow along with, put it all on me and accept no responsibility for any misunderstandings your self, just do it knowing Im not at all irritated and my care factor is rapidly approaching zero.

Yeah well my world is a little more precise ... for example a bullock is a neutered bull... it was a deliberate alteration of the term bollocks, the irony of using something lacking bollocks to indicate the same meaning intended because they sound similar may be obscure, but its funny and I do that sometimes. Unlike you're own good self I find myself less amusing than I find silly wee things like bullocks without bollocks. I guess that bullocks don't give a bollocks about not having any.

If "bullocks" are the standard for being belligerent, then the sensitive wee girl thing might just be closer than you want to acknowledge.

I must apologise for appearing to care less than zero on the basis of the length of my reply..

Oh well. Tomorrow’s another day. Looking forward to the next instalment of sneeze vs Sidney.
