Pros and cons like most things. The main disadvantage of a rangefinder/bino to me is that they only come in larger binoculars such 8x42 or 10x42. A decent high quality pair of 8x32 binos is so much lighter and easier to carry and they give up nothing optically.

Thanks everyone for your comments, after spending a few hours playing with a few different options I have ended up ordering https://www.eurooptic.com/Leica-Geov...px?footer_link

Yes the eye pieces are individually adjustable. Reasonably clear instructions in the booklet that they come with to do this.

Mate has the Leupold combo binocular range finder with built in rangefinder with angle compensation.
Said he would not go that way again.
I have a 6 year old nikon 900 mtr with angle compensation. Have ranged goats at 450 with it.
I think its rated to aprox 600 mtr for non reflective surfaces (ie matt or green) and 900 mtr for light or reflective colours.
It is a pain to have 2 separate items but if you are sending money on good glass I would keep them separate.
Good glass is forever especially the Leica or similar.
Electronics are superseded and getting lighter every year.

Well, no difference between 8x32 and a 10x42 - both have a 4mm exit pupil. Okay, 4.2mm in the 10x42, but if you can see an exit pupil difference of 0.2mm you don't need binoculars.
