Aren't almost all scopes made in China?

Ive got one of these on my 6.5x55.
It's been good. VX3 sort of glass. Have a reputation for being the next most reliable to Nightforce. craigc had it on his 300RUM for a while so they can take the recoil.
Reticle excellent at top end. Usable at bottom end.
They will send to NZ. Think they are made by LOW in Japan.

Yeah great option if you can get one here. I’ve made a number of attempts to contact them to no avail

I emailed them, but it was a few years ago.

P3 does go a bit fine at 3x but the illuminated dotmight overcome ghat entirely depending on your eyes.
The illum dual is bigger than the other turrets.
The 3-12 model doesnt have parallax adj but you could overcome that by winding down to 6x or 3x for under 50m for the focus askect anyway. Building up your cheekpiece to fit you exactly will make it easier for accuracy at longer range. I think the paralkax is set at 109m but if not in a hurry for delivery you can specify what you like.
The 4-16x has parallax knob but I think is 50mm.
A new one will be just out side your price spec bu second hand should be OK. Their warranty is not lifetime.

I asked SWFA recently if they shipped to NZ but they said no, I swear they did ship here a few years back.

Interesting thread - I have been thinking of replacing the scope on my hunting 243win lately.

I really like the 2.5-10x magnification, illuminated for the low end power in the bush, reasonable size objective lens, FFP with a useful reticle. And MIL/MIL...

I have been looking at the Leupold Mark 4HD and the Nightforce NX8 2.5-10x44.

The Nightforce is 2nd focal plane. The reticle is "on" at 10x.

Ahhh... Another one bits the dust. The 2.5-20x F1 I'd an option I suppose. A lot of magnification I don't need...

Have to get a Mark 4HD to have a look at then...

I messaged SWFA last night. Here is their reply:

I am sorry but we currently are not shipping internationally. Optics Warehouse currently retails our scopes and hopefully you can purchase the SS scope you need from them.

    935 pounds? That is nearly what a 3-12 S&B costs via optics-trade.

Yes. More than doubled its price travelling from USA to UK.

Most cheaper scopes, say under $1200 NZ are made in China.
There are some higher priced scopes that are made in China but for the most part they'll be made in:
    Phillipines
    Japan
    USA
    Germany/Austria

Mostly in the order but there are plenty of exceptions.

    I have this one :
    https://www.gaprecision.net/shop/ga-...cle-lrhs2.html

And two of its little sisters in 3-12x44
They are a bit heavy but the reticule by is very good , at both end of magnification.
