Yeah, check the pic in post #5 in the 6.5 Creedmoor load development thread, it shows what I mean about trigger and scope mounts needing to be forward of the action, though I was thinking more conventional style stock rather than tactical chassis type which is easier to add rails etc to.

The greatest advantage for my two folders is ease of cleaning.
I don’t have to remove the cheek riser for cleaning, a worthy option in my case.

@Square22 Accuracy is fine with a 14" barrel. In fact, it's probably better than factory length due to less barrel whip. But accuracy has been mostly enhanced by the chassis itself. Velocity however is reduced quite a bit - Think from memory I'm averaging around 2390FPS with 168gr SMK's.

Reading this thread, are folding chassis legal in NZ? Such as the hnt26? https://mdttac.com/hnt26-chassis-system/

762mm minimum length is the key point.as long as it cannot be fired in whatever contortion it has AND be less than 762 you are ok. That's my understanding of rules and I can tell you that is plurry short indeed. A 12ga is extremely noisy at minimum length, actually so is wee .410 .

Looking at the page, there is nothing to say that it folds, but if it does fold, it does not appear to obstruct the trigger so unless I am lissing something, it looks like it would fire in its shortened / folded format.

Inerstingly..762mm may seem a random arbitary length, but it works out a 30 inches for those of us also fluent in old speak.....

762 is also 7.62mm eg .308 and that's the only reason I remember it lol

The IJA had a folding arisaka for the paratroopers. I always thought that would be fun to own

Thats only because they decided not to call it 2ft 6in ..... 7.62mmx100 is 762mm, .30 if an inch x100 is 30 inches...

Almost makes a case to switch to a blackout?

    That's a beautiful setup though.
