Just wondering if the above suppressor ( MAE) stainless full barrel , can be taken apart for cleaning. Appears to be in sections but cant see definite joins to unscrew. Looks full of gunk as vaseline is coated on the barrel before use. Do they need cleaning .If so what is the best way. Experiences please

suggest you contact MAE directly...... you COULD soak it in something like .....2 stroke petrol to desolve vasoline etc then flush it numerous times then dry out...is it just a big empty cavity of full of complicated baffles????

First off they don’t come apart. I have used this solvent to good effect, you need to soak it for a while but I tried on a sonic can so could be disassembled to see how it worked and seemed to remove a lot of residue and carbon

Reloaders have a vid on YouTube demonstrating suppressor cleaning, I sure it'll work for full barrel aswell

As above doesnt come apart. The bits that look like joins are how the internals are held in place. You just want a carbon cleaner as thats probably whats its got in there. Something like acetone would work make sure you rinse it well otherwise it will try and do an rpg impersonation

that link has instructions on how to do it..simply green type solution and a good soak... dry it out and fire a few quick shots to remove any left over moisture and good to go again is the short answer according to link.
