Getting DOC boundaries onto your Garmin 62s - Help please!

I presume there is a way to get DOC adminstered boundaries onto your Garmin? - in this case my 62s.

I have freshmaps topo on there as my main map.

I'd love to know when I'm getting close to the edge of DOC managed land. Having paper roads etc show through would be helpful too.

Would welcome any help that you could give.

    Cheers, Rich

The doc boundaries must be in digital format somewhere.

What would be really useful is the hunting boundaries (where there is a difference between the doc and hunting areas) - never come across those in digital format.

keep pushing. It used to be the responsibility of the ranger who also had Stewart Island - had a good email chat at the time with him but he knew (even at that stage) that due to funding they weren't going to be making them publicly available any time soon.

but you're right - they're an overlay, surely it's something that can only be easier as all technology improves?

Okay, I will quiz DOC and see if there is still someone working there that knows about this stuff. Will post up here if I get a response.

Tony from Kiwi GPS put doc boundaries on my 62s.

You might be able to find them on this page.

nice RB, will dig through that. will consider myself a test case, and post results if I can work it out.
If I'm not able to work it out I may well be a cot-case..
