There was a clip a while ago on stuff about a guy on a dirt bike being set upon by some billy goat - that thing was on steroids

Talking of billy goats, seen my mrs in a foul mood now and then. When she's heading in my direction I just stand aside and she breezes right on by. Nobody gets hurt

I don't think mooses and goats can be compared in this situation, although a decent sized goat could definately ruin your day.

In fact I would love to see someone sit calmly on their quad as a goat or deer charged them head on.

charged him head on you say...? ahahaha. dude the moose was rumaging across the track being a moose and the snowmobile advanced on the moose . remember theres 2 snowmobilers, with helmets on and at least one gun. if i had my 7 mill with me on my quad and goatzilla wanted to have a punch up, id pull out a cigar and laugh all the way to the curry pot

Not trying to offend you man but..See this is wot I mean....If this dude was driving down a track on a quad(like many do here in nz) and come across a deer minding its own business munging on a tree and he ripped out his gun and shot it. Then posted the cam footage, he wouldnt be called a pussy. Every1 would be giving him praise and he'd think he's a great big ninja hunter.

But because the dude defended himself the best way he thought possible(i'm only assuming) when the moose decided to fight back, he's a pussy and an antagonist.

not offended at all man, its the internet that would be a valid point ... but the guys not hunting, doesnt take the meat, didnt make sure the animal suffered unduly and could have completly avoided the incident with patience and keeping his distance. the guy is a pussy slash nob . my opinion only

But the dude's being called out as a pussy when we have no idea what happened afterwards. forming an opinion on hindsight is not for me

It's pretty fun to be judgemental on the internet. Hey maybe the guy fucked up, maybe he's an asshole. That glock dropped the moose pretty good. Wonder why he was carrying with an empty chamber.

He looked fairly confident using it, didn't fumble or hesitate.

So your saying the moose wasn't charging him when he shot it? Should he have rested easy and relied on his helmet to stop his chest being trampled and crushed? And you say you'd shoot something charging at you on your bike? You're all over the show mate.

Also, i'd say if he took meat he'd get booked, wrong calibre/out of season etc etc. Not sure about moose curry though lol

hahaha wow awesome. yea mate all over show the moose only charged when the snowmo entered his personal space. if he had stayed where he was when he first saw it, it wouldnt have charged

Reminds me of this thread but different outcome. If you provoke, corner or spook an animal you get what you get.
It comes down to giving an animal some space. Sure it may have been waranted who knows, i would have had a chill and waited for it to fuck off. There are some however that just kill shit cause they can, IF that was the case hes a fuckwit.
