should also be pointed out that not all GC gunsmithing is in house. they may even use the gunsmith you normally would even if you buy from GC.
not making excuses but its a possibility

Good call
I had the same thing but they had cocked the thread up smoothed it out heat shrunk the correct thread on and it went flying down range just before the roar
Hey all, Dan here, GC Wellington and Palmy manager here. To clear up any of the speculation, it was a mistake on our team members end. Nothing to do with the quality of the gear - when the rifle was sold to the customer he was unfortunately given an M15x1 silencer, for an M14x1 rifle.
This is obviously quite an embarrassing mistake, but not anything related to the threading job on the silencer nor the rifle.
The customer has come through and we have fully sorted them out, albeit with red faces.
I appreciate that some of the commenters in this thread may have well founded opinions of GC, but I and my team take these matters extremely seriously and, while we obviously made a human error here, I don't believe this reflects on our level of service and quality overall.

Good one for stepping up Dan. Mistakes are made its how you sort them out that counts
I appreciate not everyone has mechanical experiance, if you did youd be able to feel the thread wasnt right
My experience of the service at the Wellington branch has always been friendly and very good. I shop there by choice - there are other options that are not maligned in social media but are no better and in some ways not as good.
When at fault, it's the putting right that counts. Sounds like you have done ok.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

That's a learning for me, I've not yet seen a M15x1 can first hand. Just about every other thread known to man that fits on a barrel haha.
Good on ya for stepping up and noting the error though - bloody refreshing and I don't really care who the outfit was. All too often these things get deflected denied or disowned in my experience these days, so well done there!
It would be good if they standardised the threads I run 14x1 on all but the 22s
Yeah you are right, blip. They're close enough where, under the right circumstances, they can mismatch and still 'work' (big inverted commas - until any stress is applied and then the can is ejected down range).
I'm absolutely gutted it has happened and the team member who sold the customer the rifle package is a super attentive, conscientious and hard working younger lad who will also be gutted once I've yarned with him about it.
Gutted.
15x1 is one of the standard muzzle threads on Blasers
All businesses make mistakes. It is what they do next that really matters!
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
