Nah, I always tape the bottom up. When you use them as a walking stick thats where they get all the dings. Here’s my Browning .243.

    And my .223.

B, if you want it shortened I can sort that out for you. Did it on my Remmy 788 before fitting the limbsaver.

A new centre fire for some fun, nothing to fancy, but wanted a 308 so ended up with a Remington 700 SPS Tactical with 20" barrel.
Scope is a Bushnell 5-15x40 Tactical, base & rails are Weaver tactical. The base is not the 20moa one as not currently shooting that far to need it...
I fired 18 rounds through it last weekend and its great! Scope zeroed at 100m, took four 3 rnd groups, first three at 25m, last at 100m.
AR is in the picture as it was on the floor at the time for cleaning...
    Cheers Grant

How do you like the Spearmags grunzter?
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    Hi Rushy,
I like the spearmags stock, its not perfect but seems tough and looks good, and for me feels ok.
Only things i noticed when i swapped over from my Magpul stock/grip was that the Grip was thin, probably more of a problem if you have big hands.
The other very minor point is that the tube part that covers the buffer tube is not as thick as a typical AR stock, and means your cheek sits a bit lower than you are used to...
I read elsewhere the Servo stock is also nice.

I picked up my new 10/22 takedown from gunworks today after getting it suppressed, plus sorted out the mountings. Great little gun all round
