You could spend twice as much and not get a better alround hunting work horse as you have there.
    Great looking rifle.

Mk2 BTVS, pre-loved and in great nick. Been shortened to 17" and threaded, on the heavier side for a 22 but well balanced and sit very nicely on the shoulder

22s are just fun... guess I should put a scope on it now.

    They're sitting on carpet?

They were on the bipod when I got it, its an older model Harris ultralight but it was second hand so whether they're original feet or not I don't know.

    That would be appropriate.

Done, my spare scope now has a home. I might buy something nicer for it at some stage though, anyone tried the Nikon Prostaff Rimfire scopes?

the Nikons are nice to use, the reticle takes a little time to adjust too.

Is that the one with the circles for different ranges? I quite liked it on my AR, Nikon M-223, found it very easy.

Thinking about one of those scopes myself @Nibblet in 3-12x. Do you rate them?

Yeah I really liked it, only sold it to pay for something I really really wanted. It does semi limit your loads if you want the dots to be bang on, 55gr poly tipped projectile going 3250 approx, I was using zmax in 18inch AR and circles were mint out past 500y. You can use spot on app to match it to your load though.

Mine was 2-8 from theriflescopestore. @Damnitchy who I sold it to might be able to chime in with another opinion

    Thanks for that.
Might get one locally as I hear outdoor brands have just taken over distribution. There should be a lot more Nikons avaiable now. Monarch 3s look like agood scope too.

I've got the Monarch 3-12x42 on my 7mm-08, which I'm really happy with. It has the BDC reticle, which I find a little bulky, but I prefer to dial anyway these days. Glass is really nice and dialling seems spot on so far, at least out to 500 or so on game.

Two of my new rifles and one old one.
    The top is a Marlin 1895 45/70
The middle one is a Marlin 35 Rem
The bottom one is a Rossi 45 Long Colt
