The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

83gr of 2217. Can easily take a few more grains without a problem I'd say.
Have you tried it with 2225 yet ?

It should/will give more velocity if there is room in the case.

If there is still room try some RL 33.

Can't even fit a starting load of 2225 in it. I think 869 is prob worth a shot.

Next will be to have the stock tidied up and some crossbolts put in.

Andrew McKenzie in Taupo, mate from H&F recommended him, he did a superb job!
Apparently he used to do it for the Aussie Military so I am told.

The stock has been pinned, you can see the faint lighter coloured dot above the trigger which is annoying me, would rather replace with proper crossbolts, mainly for aesthetic reasons.

Instead of bedding, a wee packer washer cut from the lid of an ice cream container can be put between the stock and the receiver pad round the stock screw.
It has a custom barrel made from a BSA target barrel which is epoxied into the receiver, trigger job has been done, barrel is floating in the new stock, the action is flopping around loose as fuck
