Just picked up a new MAE suppressor for my Sako 85 finnlite in 7mm08. Need to get back out to the range to test it out.
Hoping for a good reduction in recoil and noise. The guys at MAE have done a great job and were very helpful.
G'day guys
I found this forum on a google search, looks great.
I signed up to ask kokako a question, in an attempt to private message him I ended up sending a 'friend request'...that seems creepy, some random dude 'be my friend'.
So anyway I am getting a sako ss hunter and have a Leica sitting here, therefore I have a few questions on your great setup:
What size ringmounts are they, xtra low or low?
Do the Swarovski flip covers simply fit the Leica? What size etc did you order?
Cheers
Josh
Nothing like a creepy friend request to get the party started.
Welcome to the forum.
Just back after load development and mil-spec coating.
Shilen 24" barrel, action trued.
Maisey brake and bedding pillars.
Senator Stock.
0.022" milled off front Optilock to roughly equate to 20MOA
Bedded front and rear, top and bottom into Devcon 10110 Steel Putty (A) by me.
Not a project I'm likely to repeat, reckon it's either full custom or factory, pissing around with this and another left me thinking its a mugs game.
The other is a Sako 75 Varmint .308 in a Senator SLR stock. It'll be sold after painting.
Prolly hang on to this, it's going in a 500D on Monday morning.

Probably on a par, Blaser barrel lighter due length and profile, I'll use a lighter weight after market saddle on the RM barrel, final weight depending on scope....this thing went ok last trip just shooting off a pack, I'm trying to go without a bipod till those carbon jobbies turn up.

What's up with the canterlever mount at the front?
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
308Win One chambering to rule them all.
It's an "extended" Optilock base for use on '75 L actions. I could have perhaps used the forward base from the set for L actions, but with the fwd base pushed fully fwd, the ring may have impinged on the objective housing on the Z5, definitely on a Zeiss Fl Diavari I have.
By pushing the front mount fully fwd on the dovetails, I'm pretty well centered optically. With the shorter mount from the other set the windage was way off to one side..... Hope that explains it.
