Almost complete, just waiting on JP adjustable gas block and tube and 10" Midwest rail.
Spikes lower and BCG from Digit and On-target
Aero upper from NZRAC
Hiperfire trigger from Brownells
Colt 11.5" barrel from Spanners
2nd hand GC stock from Dr Watson
That short barrel will normally have my DPT AR can on it to keep it sociable (the compensator is a thread protector).
Will have my spare Vortex 2-7x35 on a Leupold IMS mount until I get something sexier.

Welcome to Sako club.
PS, OAL without compensator is 762mm exactly.

Right, I've lusted after one of these for a while. It's a SIG SG 550. Hensoldt ZF24 scope, M9 bayonet. This is my first 5.56mm rifle and as you'd expect from the Swiss, it is very well manufactured and is rock-solid. Even the cleaning kit is so precisely manufactured. Can't wait to take it to the range...
That is fukn awesome Ryan.......
While I might not be as good as I once was, Im as good once as I ever was!

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts
Always wanted one myself.
When we trialed the P226 in 91 the agent had a couple with him.
Iirc one was a 551? Cant remember what optics but having never picked the thing up before I was amazed when I wound the dial to 400 m and vaporized a hare in front the butts on Trentham range.
Rang some steel as well at 600 m and I was hooked.
I remember thinking we couldn't ever get them as service rifles as the tolerances all over the system were way too fine.
They would only be specialist use.
Grunts would wreck them in no time.
I am jealous.
