I have shot both. Prefer the h&h. Don't have a chronograph but pretty sure the ruger is the faster of the 2. It takes about 2 more grains than the h&h.

    Hi Mac,
Interesting configuration - what's with the orange arrow on the stock ?

My only guess is that the arrow is a reminder of which way to point the rifle - for the Brazilian military ?

You "cheek" hey! Lol. Nah, the person who actually sent me this photo is from Thailand, I just love the configuration and wish I can have one.
    I actually missed that detail.
    Cheers

    Mac

This is my new baby, 85 Finnlight in 270wsm, VX6 3-18x44 illuminated B&C, Opti's, factory length 24" with a DPT magnum over barrel (very slowly) making it's way down, hopefully it will be here tommorow so I can get some lead in the air. Currently working up 130VLDs over 2213sc in Norma brass, and also 150VLDs and 150LRABs also in Norma brass using 2225

Very nice. Out of interest, and for a cheap option under 300 yards I have just had a play with 130 grn core-lokts in my A7. Using Hybrid 100V it went straight to 3.3k and .5 moa. Magazine length. Rem cases.

I will be very interested in how the LRAB go for you. My stock load is 140 grn NBT & 2214 @ 3,180

thanks, they are a good pill the corelokts, have seen them used to great effect on tahr despite being labelled "cheap and nasty" I accidently bought a box of 100 130gr VLDs a while back for my 270win (was supposed to have ordered 150gr) but I hung onto them hoping to do something with them one day so will see if I can get them going as a "spook and shoot" load, keep them in the mag, and the 150s in my pocket
