should shoot black powder then will make it much nicer to shoot had to give my baby back to its owner today but pleasure having it for the last 2 years thanks @Barefoot
You've looked after it better than I would have @rambo-6mmrem.
I just sent an email off to order an adjustable aperture rear eye piece which should make it more useable for hunting for me
The Biggest Room is the Room for Improvement
yep that balistol oil is wonderful stuff I clean the gun and that stuff removes any left over traces of salt and preserves the rifle wonderfully wont use anything else on smokeless or black powder guns its the best oil

Currently throwing 110 TTSX's out at a lazy 2730fps (lol) but @ 0.4" group. Had to sell 2 rifles and a scope to get this one.
Nice rifle Timmay. Shot a deer with the new load? How long is the barrel?
Thanks mate, Went for a walk yesterday morning but didn't see anything - was sleeting so I'm not really surprised - Barrel is 19". I've smacked over plenty of deer (20+) with a slower load in my 6.5x55 so have no concerns with its ability to kill.
I'm only running 40gns of ADI 2219. Heaps of room to stoke it up.
nah 120gn soft point Pro Hunter @ 2600 fps - That one smacking the gong nicely at 400 yards in the wind.
These TTSX's will open down to 1800fps so "good" to 300m - In reality it won't see any action past 50m.
This rifle is way nicer than my Tikka haha
Shopping around for a VX6 1-6x24 ATM, looks like Outdoor supplies has the best price.
edit; I'm not 100% concerned about weight, I went to the Forbes because I wanted something different but nice (ie not a sako) I wanted short action, good trigger, its a timney on the forbes - this is the best trigger I've ever used and It needed to be 08 case based for possible conversion later to 6.5x47L or 6.5CM. Throw in the super bloody nice stock which is slim and fitting + has a cheek piece and I was sold - I also think the black receiver and stainless barrel is sexy.
