Took the Barndard Twins to the Handloaders Range yesterday to start running in the new rifle.
Fired both. Lapua Palma cases, 155 gr scenar projectiles.
Old load 45.0 gr 2208 Winchester Small Rifle Primbers, running in load 44.0 gr 2208 Federal Match Small Rifle Primers

Reasonable grouping with either load at 100 yards. 1" squares ~ 1 MOA on targets, groups from either rifle.

Can you tell which rifle is which?

To be fair, the bolt was hidden in plain sight. I am not sure that Ashleigh will be there.

New to me ('61) SLR. I've had a couple of them before, but both were synthetic stocks. Having the wood is so much nicer! And the early pattern carry handle was also a bonus.

SLRs have the best looking flash hiders out of the FAL family IMHO. Now you just need a bayonet to go with it.

Had the bayonet for the last 5 years...I find if I buy the bayonet or some ammunition for a rifle then I'm always on the lookout...I've also got an M16 bayonet...hahaha
