Too many polymer wonders. Let's go back in time to 1943. Beautiful Canadian Long Branch No.4 Mk 1* - original, fully matching, 'NZ' marked, with acceptable bayonet with Canadian ZL&T (Zephyr Loom & Textile) frog and ZL&T '42 dated sling. Mark VII ball '54 dated in bandolier below. Almost mint.

The Long Branch maple wood is by far the most aesthetically pleasing of the Lee-Enfield woods in my opinion. This is a fine specimen.

    "Peekaboo"...

A very good friend of mine put me onto this and I picked it up earlier this evening, the rifle and the bayonet - what am I?

Close - it's a m/1938. Specifically a 1942 Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag 6.5x55mm "Swedish Mauser" in VGC along with frog, scabbard and bayonet. Ryan is pleased:

It's too pretty, he needs drag it down the road tied to his tow bar to give it that 'used' look.
