303 Ross, has shot out barrel which I will replace when I get the motivation. Love the action on these.

Ha ha ha ha sorry Gibo and this post is likely to cause the same thing. You would have thought after waiting eight months to get it that I would have had time to think my way around stuff but no not Rushy the dumb ass despite all of the research I have done. Took the rifle home to secure it and bugger me it doesn't fit in the safe so had to stick it in a rifle rack. I am not even sure that it will fit in that once the scope is on. Oh well I will just have to buy another safe (and then it will look lonely in there so I will have to buy another rifle to keep it company).

No redbang. I thought about it long and hard (bit like my missus thinks about my appendage) but ended up choosing to go 300 Win Mag as I am not a reloader and the ammo was alot less expensive.

Thanks stug I really appreciate that. I do not really see myself as a reloader (too many thumbs and not enough time) so I will kick off using Federal Gold Medal 190 gr Sierra MatchKing BTHP which has a BC of 0.534 (fuck I really don't even know what all of that means). I am encouraging AndrewH to come play spotter for me and he is a reloader so once he gets the bug he could be in for a bit of favour calling (not that he owes me any).

mate plenty on here would reload for you no problem, i no i would happily. See how your factory ammo performs and then make a call, might not be worth the hassle.
A set of 300winmag dies will cost about the same as your first pack of ammo! then all you need is the components.

Very generous of you to offer thank you. In time I will post some pics of groupings at various ranges and then feel free to jump in and advise whether you think I would benefit from it. I am not yet sure whether I am entering this long range phase for the fun of it or whether I will do as I have done throughout my life with other things and get serious as hell and want to be better every time I have a go.

Be interesting to hear what you think of the recoil and noise levels Rushy. Ear muffs a must with those babies. This one of mine now has very little recoil its more of a soft shove, and kills rabbits at (best shot by 30calterry) 440 mtrs so far.
Owned a Fallow deer at 460 I think it was. We couldn't find anything further out ha ha . Great calibre IMO. Some feedback when you ve fired it would be great.

Happy yes it is the 110BA. The scope I have gotten for it is a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 8.5-25x50mm (30mm) M1. I know they are loud and will absolutely be wearing hearing protection.
