    Top or side load.
Velocity is thrilling, but diameter does the real killing.

Top loader, note the writing on the barrel is upside down? Second barrel is marked “sold from service” markings.

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

Yup. You can keep spare mags in your pocket. Old culler acquaintance had one back in the early 80s in 308. He Loved the gun.

Big thank you to @Wingman for helping me get this Tikka .308 shortened and threaded today so I can go pigging this weekend. Not a new rifle to me, its my T3 Stainless Lamimated in .308 with Zeiss 3-12x50, now 18” with a DPT suppressor and of course their excellent Hunter chassis. Very portable rifle this now, looking forward to working up some new loads for it, starting with the Sierra ProHunter 180gr RN [2170] which I hope will become my ‘slow and heavy’ forest stag killer.

Snap.... Have the same but red chassis and the bolt handle on the correct side, scope is a Zeiss hd5 as well. Was happy shooting out to 520 at the Toby shoot, first time past 200. Sure it could go further with someone better behind it. Was running factory 150gr hornady whitetail (been to last to do load development)

My great grandads Halloway side by side sporting 12g that he won in a live sparrow shoot back in the day.

My grandad past away when I was 5, never got to meet his dad. I'll continue to hand the old girl down.
