Hope you are all keeping well as its been a while for my last visit here!!!
Just picked up a semi custom Tikka T3 in 308 .
Its in a German gunstock company stock which has a pillar bed , carbon sleeved 1 in 11 twist barrel finished at 24 inches , 3 position safety .
The guy who built it, it was his own personal stalking rifle and only fired 75 rounds.
Early days , but really looking forward to stretching her legs!!!
    Loves the 155 A-max too ( 6 shot group at 100meters - shame i pulled the 6th) !!!!Name: DSC_0044.JPG

I picked up this .338 Lapua Magnum a few weeks ago. It is the Savage Stealth and I have fitted the 6-24x50 Sightron SIII from my .30/06 long range rifle. I will probably make a suppressor for it at some stage as it is smidge unpleasant with the factory brake! It is showing excellent potential and I will do my final 200 metre zero when I get some Hornady 285 grain ELD's for it and work up a load.

I am not patient enough to wait for 15 to line up. I will just have to accept 8-10! Walking the dog last night and he got on to a rabbit which ran to its mate, then another joined in, etc. When it got to 4 rabbits in front of him he just gave up! All the juvenile rabbits are just getting out on their own at the moment so there are lots of stupid ones around.

Got to agree with @gundoc. I had a .22 version. Pretty and good action but the most inaccurate piece of shit I have ever had the misfortune to use.
First 2 - 3 shots were ok then it would just open up like a shotgun. No point even trying to sight it in as it was moving all over the place.
Good group would be over 8 inchs at 50 yrds with 3-4 of those actually key holing / tumbling .
I hope your 44 is better mate.

He can look on the bright side. At least the receiver is made of steel unlike the pot metal used in their .22's, and the action mechanism appears to be a direct copy of the Marlin 336 system which has proved itself. But then, why not buy a Marlin?

I have never owned one. I am just an old gunsmith that gets to sort out other shooter's problems.
