Nothing special at the end of the day, just a Tikka in latte 7-08 caliber. Mounted the scope in the weekend and sighted it in and it groups rem core lokts nicely at 100m. So for a bush pig I'm pretty happy with the set up. I know it shoots well so no excuses in the bush now, apart from not seeing any animals.

This photo was prior to the weekend. I've turned the rear ring and got my eye relief perfect. Would of liked a slightly lower ring.

Nice and I can totally relate to the young family bit, dunno if you would get that scope any lower without the zoom ring hitting the action.
Looks good. You've got a keeper there that's for sure

You've got a fair point there @dannyb next time i get it out of the safe I'll have to look if i can get any extra room from the action or bolt. It's no biggy the difference is mm from a soft touch of my cheek to pressing firmly on my cheek bone.

I got it from a friend and i think he got it from the states. For me as a new hunter not having looked through a lot of glass, lower end leupold's & vortex's mainly. This is really crisp and clear, I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes in lower light conditions under the canopy.

You done well to pick up on the brand of scope. i guess if you zoom in you can read it clearly on the side.

My new toy, bought it today then straight round to DPT for one of their mini centrefire suppressors.
I'll be mounting a Loopy 2-7x33 on it this afternoon.
I needed something suppressed for using over the dog, and wasn't going to chop my Model 94 Trapper!

308, 16.5 inch barrel. I have a Brno 308 with 24 inch barrel but I wasn't going to chop that either. COAL to lands is virtually identical for both rifles so that's a bonus, but cases fired in the Brno and neck sized won't fit in the Bergara so the FL die will get some use. I'll probably use different case brands for each rifle.

I have one the BA13's on order. What is the measurement of the MK2 overbarrel suppressor? Specifically how far back over the barrel does it go @Cigar?

@Sasquatch mine has the S/S modular Mk2 which goes roughly 120mm overbarrel, so i had to chop bout 20mm off the rifle handgaurd to get it on

This is the new mini over barrel modular for rifles like Bergara ,and howa 300 blackout on mini action , when not much of the barrel is sticking out of the fore end (95mm). They are rated for no bigger cartridge than 308.

I got a Bergara as well to replace my 300BO AR hunting rifle that horseface confiscated
Check the bolts on the scope rail tho, mine came loose after 30 rounds today.
I like it so far though, farkall to it really so there cant be much that can go wrong with it.
Insanely light trigger, i need much more practice with it to bring those groups in tighter @ 100m
Its same as yours cept with a longer over barrel DPT suppressor and a nightforce 1- 4 of my dead 3 hundy BO
Be dealing death to goats or punching holes in paper 1 shot at a time, cause semis are too evil aye.........
Gona come up with a belt or stock pouch to hold the 308 rounds in a way that hopefully makes it easier/faster to load

I tightened them before mounting the scope but will keep an eye on them and epoxy the rail if needed.

100% loctitie bolts and bed rail, they are notorious for working themselves loose. Mine did twice. Do either of your release mechs bind up a bit? I'm thinking it's time to take mine back

I haven’t noticed any binding, but the rifle spent the afternoon in pieces while I measured OAL for various projectiles, checked chambering of various cases and rounds and cleaned the barrel.
One thing I did notice is that the action won’t open no matter how hard you work the hammer I need some serious practice time before I need a second shot at an animal!
