Hard act to follow such a tasty sako.
Here's my new marlin 917 with olivion 4-14x44ao scope and greystone suppressor.
I'll be supprised if the trigger hasn't been improved as its pretty bloody nice and a scored 5 boxes of hornandy ballistic tips for $10 a box.
Good deal, can't wait to paste a few more hares. Will post more pics in a week or so when the new stock arrives.

rings seem to be a bit high.... guess when the new stock shows up you can work on cheek welds / ring height

Probably cant get it much lower even though it's only 44mm objective the AO is quite bulky.
Could possibly go 5mm I'll have a look when it's out of the safe next, I do like to keep em as low as possible.

They are mean little weapons those marlins. Miss my 980s, should never have sold it. Outshot much more expensive 22s on the regular.

If it has a trigger less than about 8 lbs then it's likely had a trigger job or spring set. You can tune em yourself with a ball point pen spring and a little piece of nail

What carbon bolt knob did you use ?
Any chance of a pic of the bolt ?

Ive got a kind of similar Tikka 6.5x55 that is waiting for me to pick up from Kiwi Greg , but I won’t be back in NZ until September and the wait is killing me .
Im envious that you have yours already to play with .

A 300 RUM; all pretty much standard apart from the stug stock.

Not quite as fast as the one above. 210 Bergers doing 2965 shot the best.
