Tikka T1x 22LR. Hoping to put it into a KRG Bravo chassis on Saturday and take it out for a shoot on Sunday.

Well, after much stress (for my gun smith thank you Grant!!) finally completed the most expensive bush gun I’ve ever had built, Barnard SMS action fluted bolt, meant to be a rem 700 drop in but it’s really not that drop insh, epic true flight 12.5” ultra match fluted barrel in 338 FED, Ken Henderson stock, timney trigger, magnum OCD titanium suppressor and break topped with rail and 2-12x42 vx6hd ….

@Nga nice looking rig. The 338 will be a heavy hitter. What made you go with that particular cal?

Honestly mate, it was due meat damage, so the short barrel, slow heavy pills, will be a 200-300 yard gun max and mostly 50-100 99% of the time... went for the 338 due to Barnard only doing the 308 bolt face on the SMS, I just wanted to build a KIWI made rifle to support our local economy and other than the scope and trigger I've managed that.

Very cool. What issues did you have getting it into a stock ? Recoil lug ? A couple of the SMS actions I've seen have had pretty beefy recoil lugs.

That would be a question for Grant at Trueflight mate, I do know it came close to bouncing off walls a few time

Nothing fancy, but it's got to a point that I'm happy with it - especially with a constrained budget!
Tikka T3x Superlight in 308, in a B&C stock. Burris Fullfield IV 3-12x44. DPT over barrel suppressor. Now just looking forward to taking it out some more!

That's awesome mate, what twist rate is it - are you going to try subs?

I wonder what the kick will be like with supers?

Not mine but she's on my ticket until my mate gets his endorsement. Old school West German Sig P226, I cut my teeth on CZ's but this thing is really growing on me.
