Just a hole drilled into the hollow cavity then a countersunk hex bolt pushed through and a nut on the inside to tighten it up with.

I wouldn’t be overly concerned Tony, it looks to me like he missed by around an inch and a half. Out of interest was the wind blowing left to right?
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Now does anyone have a nice spare Irish contract No4Mk2 to go with it?

With the rest of my small collection.

Nothing new besides the LA mk4 rail.
All but one just played musical scopes.
    M24 with 5-25 Atacr Mil-XT, XM-3 clone based on LTR action/barrel in 308 x20" with 4-14 F1 SHV mil-r, AICS with Rem700 .223 heavy barrel shortened to 18" & Mk4 3-10 TMR scope, and a little Ruger 556 with Mk4 2-8 TMR scope in magpul stock.
    Now to re-zero...
