Political connections, few medals at national levels, some greased palms one or all of it depending on state and district you are in. Some states specially. border states are pretty liberal in granting licenses. British Raj left a legacy in INDIA called babus (Govt services officers), many of them have no exposure to guns and they are the ones who decide on licenses so it gets a pretty interesting.

Apart from that we have a whole generation growing up with no knowledge about hunting, guns etc. Whole freaking country is turning greenie. Recently we had our .22 airguns put on to Licenses and limits of guns on one license reduced to 2 from 3. Its pretty effed-up here ..

Sorry looks like I went on a bit of rant

I have in previous life shot an obscene amount of rats with one of those...when I say shot,I COULD have well said exploded. flat tipped pellets hit hardest, rounded next and the pointy ones just whistled through, still killed but not the same splat factor.... also used the side lever shown, very accurate just not quite as powerful.... oh the fun we had when younger.

very unusual scope mounting ststem.....guess it is very robust as nothing poking out front to get bent, unusaul all the same, cant say Ive ever seen front ring like that before. beautiful rifle, hope it serves you well...the deer in front of it will surely drop just seeing the gaping muzzle.

Its a quick detachable claw mount system. I don't know if all claw mounts are 'quick detach' but this one is. It unclips at the rear mount, and tilts forward 45 degrees to disengage the front claws, so Im guessing that it mounts on the front of the scope so that there is sufficient clearance to tilt it up. As long as I can find other scopes with a 1.5" front objective lense then I have other options, but the glass in this one is clear enough, I hope it holds zero..

24inch barrel length, not sure yet... have a heap of 150g classics, but mates reamer is for 180g.

I spruced up my old Remington LVSF .233

Home made powlonia carbon wrapped stock. Vixen 2.5-15x50 scope (great glass, looks to have a really forgiving eye box even at full mag) and a Maniatis suppressor.

I haven’t fired it in this config yet, but when I can get to the range I’ll post a pic.

Not sure if the total weight, but the stock comes in at around 540g. Feels very nice in the hand, and comes up tot he eye beautifully
