Very nice shotgun there Gun nut! I remember when Reloaders or Sportways were selling these.

What are you using it for?

Not using it for anything until more ammo arrives in NZ unfortunately (guess thats why it was a good price). The plan is to give me a bit more range on ducks on opening weekend and have a lot of fun at the range with 760grn slugs for the rest of the year!

That is a beauty. What made you choose that calibre?. I am looking at a High Wall in 38-55 for mid-range.

    Good question
And it was simply because my mate who also happened to be doing the smith work for me had a reamer
But the 38-50 dose have an advantage over 38/55 being that it will hold 55gn of powder behind a 330gn bullet
A 38-55 will only do 45gn with the same bullet

Always bring new guns home in the dark and get them into the safe without the wife seeing them .......... then when asked you be saying "what, that old thing........ it's been in the safe for ages .........."
Tip - never leave the safe door open when your wife is around, otherwise she will take inventory, and then you are screwed!
