I think that also firearms were once an investment vehicle, nice Colts were appreciating 10% per annum when I bought mine in 2006,now as Gunnut states they are plateauing and the will also fall away.People cannot justify spending say £10,000 on a nice double with the idea that it will be worth the same or more when they come to sell it,you can't use steel in it so its actually worth FA now.

Also when it comes to the collector type stuff, there are many countries in Europe where "Can" be possible to own full auto stuff but in reality it is next to impossible. It wasn't always so therefore there are some truely amazing collections here, however the red tape or straight out refusal to grant collectors permissions means that the spicy stuff gets cut up if it cannot be de-activated in a timely manor.Freight restrictions and costs for arms in Europe can be pretty high and security requirements pretty onerous.

    @Lucky

Is it time to create a new sticky thread, ‘The Cam/Alpine Precision Fan Club’? 😀

That thing is another piece of art, l wonder how many people, like me, are drooling now!

Have you a projectile and load of choice for it?

Another couple of recent additions to the Safe.....

M1903 bought from a Forum Member. It started life as a Receiver made at Rock Island in 1919, and put into storage to be made into a whole M1903 by Springfield in the late 1920s. It was later refurbished in early 1945 where it received its 1944 dated barrel. It shoots bloody good! The group in the photo was the first ten rounds I put through it using GC Greek .30-06 Military ball (all 1977 vintage).

..and a common old Swiss K31.....

In longrange riflery, trajectory is the pure science part. Gravity is a constant for our purposes.
Wind is in the art department.
    Light is pure fucking voodoo.

It's a Remlin/Marlington. Apparently early on they had quality issues, particularly ill-fitting woodwork, but they got it sorted. The wood quality on this is great with nice chequering. It'll be interesting to see what Ruger puts out.

man that 336 classic is very nice would like a bit more bang as a caliber 30-30 does not really rock my boat - my favourite if finance allowed -Winchester super grade wood blue pre 64 action in the classic 270 ( if one could actually get one here )

Assembled (put the rings and scope on) my new "project". A pretty standard NZ set up.
260 superlight t3, lopped to just over 20inch (just before the flutes), half cock mod, trigger at 1lb. Dpt off my magnum. Have a m+ magazine which means can seat out whilst keeping the normal bolt stop.

Very nice functional set up. All you will ever need in NZ (not necessarily all you will want though). Shame the 260 seems to have waned in popularity lately.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

My longer term redo.. brought this few years back, have been running with a 1-7weaver classic. Ultra light. Never let me down however with the 223 filling the light short void I decided to complete this for a do it all Rifle.

Model 7 XCR, factory fluted 20”, 7mm08, lightweight bolt, Senator Carbon, talleys, G6 magnum, leupold Mark4 3.5-10x40 MillD

Ordered this Weihrauch HW60J back in July last year, with clean threaded barrel & match trigger. Arrived two weeks ago. Second visit to the range and I'm not disappointed!
With load now sorted using CFE223 its time to head for the hills.
