Nah, thats the Armys M27. All M27s made after 1934 had the popsicle stick nosecap, and most of the early ones had them added...

Here's a pic of my M27 - might make me feel less jelly of norsks M28-30...

My one is one of about 1000 made by Sako. Well the barrel is, Sako assembled all the M28/30s. Using Sig and Tikka barrels mainly.
This one was made in the last year of production, 1935 .
It was never taken into the army ( lacks SA ) instead it just has SKY ( Civil guard) stamp.

It could have been issued to a reserve who never used it, then the reserve bought it and it sat in the cupboard. All the cosmoline had turned to varnish and it took a few liters of petrol to shift it all.

Keen to see how well it shoots.

    It has a 308 bore
You might need to do some reading - you're a bit off on some of those points...

    Krag Jørgensen M1897

Its chambered in 6.5x55 Skan, you can use moderate 6.5x55 Swedish in it. Really interesting mechanisim, you load it with loose rounds from the gate on the right. They have probably the smoothest bolt action ever made, really slick.

    Thats right.
Interestingly they are faster than a semi auto when it comes to shots on target. They have competitions where the reserve soldiers use their AG-3-'s and everyone else uses Krag or Steyr .The semi's loose evety time when only hits count.
