I bought this Remington 700 in 6.5CM a few yeas ago off a Club member because it was cheap, and I wanted the stock that was on it (one of the Choate McMillan look-a-likes) for another rifle.

The barreled action has sat in the safe since then, and I cobbled a rig together with some surplus bits with the intent of selling.

I took it to the Range today to shoot some groups to sell its performance....looks like I'll be keeping it....

New stock the ultra classic was very tricky to shoot being so slender and the over all weight of the rifle so light recoil with a can was a lot while I was use to it it was hard to have anyone else get behind it accurately

The cat is away (missus is in OZ on business) so the mouse (Rushy) came out to play (and with a new toy).

Second hand but my strong suspicion is that it was on a C endorsement and has never been shot as it is in mint condition.
Tis a happy wee Rushy sitting on his lonesome eating his own cooking. Ha ha ha ha
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Portuguese Mauser Vergueiro M1904/39 - one of the most under rated military rifles out there...

    Beautifully made...
    Super, super slick action...
    Accurate...
A long and rich service history...

Though about buying this but then realised I would have to mortgage the house first.

Totally impractical for my needs, butt……
Holy Hell I’d love to have that in my Safe.
308 wouldn’t be my first choice , now if it was a 6.5x55 or something similar……………
