A couple of single shot Hornets. Not really my thing to post gun porn, but these 2 are coming along nicely. I had both these out today, fitting up a few parts and getting ready for a sight in and shoot.

In longrange riflery, trajectory is the pure science part. Gravity is a constant for our purposes.

    Nice.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

I used to have two left handed BARs - I still miss them.

I wonder if I will get the chance to own one again.......

I used to dislike semi-autos of any type with a passion. But that is very elegant and I would like one. Maybe it's because now that we cant have them I want one.

Well appreciate that!..thanks!…. I’m sure you would actually take a liking to it….

Like you ( maybe)… my first rifle (a 303)was out of a wooden barrel, in a gun store on Cuba street ,Wellington ,back in 1970….i appreciate the old and the new,…. Not many of the old I dislike,a lot of the new, depends on what it’s being used for….

The BAR selection has a history and a reputation,I have 5 of them… one they don’t make anymore….

The rifle was $1280 USD…. The scope $480(with rings included) USD…. I’ve only just sighted it in… but it’s very stable, low recoil, has a great feel to it… and the semi-auto action is very clean and crisp….i believe I will really enjoy this calibre

A thousand yards is a long way for such a small projectile. There would be a lot to come in to play over that distance that would effect accuracy.

I’m not sure about that….. first time I ever shot one I knew I wanted one…. Amazing how quickly you can get several shots off on game

I’m sure you have rifles, tried and true,.that do the job without any issues… no reason to knock what you have and know…..

One semi-auto in your collection would be a fine addition!!!

Two new barrels showed up today, for the Blaser K95,
    243 and 5.6x50R, Ordered the .243 Nov 2022, 5.6x50R in Feb 2023,
only got one Spare Blaser QR mount, about to order a 2nd, but appears Rusan scope mount for the 7x64, (120gr's) fits the .243 barrel, pretty much perfect.

I picked up a mini 14 back in 74? from Din Collins thinking it would help to up my tally for the forest service, only once did if fullfil my desire. From memory I might of chucked it into the surf up the beach from Marakopa.
