How did you get that? I tried contacting the nz agent for a custom 22lr and was told it would take a year at least, said ok sent details of what was wanted for a price and never heard back.

Here's my little .22LR version of the same. I got this one on September 3, 2004 from NZ Importer, and don't get me wrong it took a hang of a long time to arrive (an honest 7 months I believe!)

In fact the .17 HMR, that I posted earlier in this thread, was a full nine (9) month 'exactly' to the day (from when I placed my order, December 7, 2004, to when it showed at my door, September 7, 2005) wait!

Indeed, so long was the duration, that I was advising anybody who was interested in one of these rifles (and I'll advise you too) to firstly conduct a simply test by placing their hands between their and legs and squeezing, and if you feel any lumps (apart from the obvious two) in the scrotum, then you can forget about ordering, for you'll only do your deposit and you'll be long dead before the rile arrives!

The other thing I will tell you right here, right now is, if you WANT it you have to keep up them (Importer) 'HARD' up them, it's not enough for you to simply place an order and then go to sleep! I was told (by the Importer) on both occasions, with both rifle orders that it would take three months, and I was ringing them every second week after that until they finally arrived!

    Nice.
I figured they must be making so much money they didn't want anymore.

The 708 is a great hunting rifle and handles everything I throw at it, as you can see haha.
The new one is 280 Ackley Imp. I wanted something familiar but a big more oomph than the 708, hoping to get to the states later this year for elk.
