I was quoted $400 for all the metalwork (barrel, action, bottom metal, action screws) on my brno in colour matching the original phosphate finish.
Think it is a similar price to rebluing but much tougher and resistant to rust.

Yeah, unfortunately deadeyes has not used cerakote for a long time, they use Durakote according to Cerakote after i contacted them regarding reports of their coating pealing off. They are not factory certified to apply cerakote.
I have chosen to only use oven cure, mostly as it is expensive to buy but if I had to buy twice as much it would cripple me. .....only thing is the air cure series handles higher temperatures, so is better for military machine guns etc. Still the oven cure is rated to 650 deg C
If you were to coat a AR barrel would the gas block fit over the coating?

Absolutely. It is tight but one of Cerakote main advantages is how thin it is. I normally coat the barrel and inside the gas block and they fit back together. The microslick version is so thin it is transparent on the first spray.
Those that can do - Those that can't bitch about those that can
Here is mine just back from being coated.

Just back from Reddot Rifles... baked on GunKote. Fast turn around, nice guy to deal with, rang when arrived to double check what I wanted done, rang when she'd left via courier.... can't ask for much more than that.
For $125 for the barrel, the action and the suppressor, pretty damn happy!
After getting the beaten up old stock looking nice again, thought she deserved a fresh finish.
Hey @Grue how has the coating held up over time and use.
