Come to think of it I don't understand why companies in the US still insist on building lower standard rifles. You would think by now they would have figured how to stake gas keys properly, use shot peened, HPT/MPI bolts etc
And that's my point
I've had RRA packaged BCGs that were awsome, in the same batch, 2 that were obviously machined by someone else and one of these was plain UGLY in quality. Same with DPMS.
There are 'manufacturing' companies and there are 'assembling' companies.
If you want a name brand then by all means just buy what you want but it's very hard to justify a blanket statement with X is better than Y when the parts source are more than often the same.
I'm going to go through my stuff when home for interest sake, and have a look at forge marks etc on uppers and see what I have. They have all been in DPMS packaging
Same with BCGs. I know I have 2 'brands' but I bet there are at least 5 different ones.
Better ask again, anyone got camo rem furniture they want to swap for new black stuff?![]()

Dependant on availibility - pickings are slim at the moment. All the above are E-Cat.
Can you not get Colt, BCM on A??
It's Obamanoia V2.0 at the moment, so everything is thin
Unfortunately no. The A-Cat format as we know it is fairly undesirable in the USA - except for a few varmint/hunting setups. Also a lot of brands wont allow export out of the USA.
