Thanks all for the feedback. Really appreciate it.
Cost depends on options etc but looking at $7k to start and goes up from there. That will get you carbon barrel and stock with a suppressor. Additional barrels about $2.5k but just use the one scope. Recon thats not bad buying.

Talk to Ian Hughes at Hardys and he can walk you through it.
Only reason I dont own one is I have a fetish for the high end nightforce and my tikkas and sakos shoot so well!

You are going to pay at least that for any full custom rifle built on a custom action with all the good bits. So the price is justified if the bits are as good and it shoots as well as any other full custom rifle put together by a decent smith.

Had a feel of one today in the local H/F its nice and light but $7000 thats expensive to me . Mind you i think a carbon light is pricey .It did appear to be very well put together and well finished . I didnt like the stock but thats me

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

I would say its a fair price at that, I paid not much less for a compete letdown of a custom build. It started out full of promises and ended up full of excuses, delays and apparently all my fault to boot cause I reloaded my brass without cleaning it first!!

A manufacturer built custom - proven day in, day out (including some great recent wins). Single scope, multiple calibers each for the cost of a budget rifle. And a great stock, weight, style and lines - why not?.....

The nx8 on the demo rifle is certainly a nice bit of kit as well. I like the idea of only needing one scope so could certainly justify the cost of the nx8 if splashing out on the hybrid.

Do you just re zero the turrets to a known zero for each barrel?

Yes that's correct. I believe Ian uses a torque wrench on the NF rings for repeatability
